Earthquake Catalog of Switzerland


-> read the ECOS02 introduction	ECOS is the Earthquake Catalog of Switzerland and its border regions; integrating information from different sources: the Macroseismic Earthquake Catalogue of Switzerland (MECOS 02) with events since 250 A.C. the annuaries of the "Swiss Earthquake Commission" since 1879 the locations of the Swiss Instrumental Network since 1975 additional information from 12 earthquake catalogs of neighbouring countries and international agencies The earthquake catalog covers the time from 250 AD to December 2001. Later earhtquakes are also browsable, however they do not belong to the published ECOS02 catalog and may be adapted to the results of current research without previous notification.

The historical macroseismic database is completely included in this web application: you may query macroseismic data for historical events as well as their bibliography.
