ANNUAL SEISMICITY REPORTS OF THE SWISS SEISMOLOGICAL SERVICE

Earthquakes in Switzerland and surrounding regions 1996-2008

Since 1996, the Swiss Seismological Service has published a series of yearly reports in the Eclogae Geologicae Helvetiae - Swiss J. Geosciences , which, in a modified version, are now available here as pdf-files. In some instances, the information included in the present reports is updated with new results that were not available at the time of the original publication or in previous versions.

In their present form, these reports consist of the following pdf-files:

• an introduction, including an overview of procedures of data acquisition and analysis,
• for each year a report about the seismic activity and significant earthquakes (1996, 1997,...),
• a documentation of the high-gain seismic monitoring stations in operation in Switzerland since 1996,
• a comprehensive bibliography for the references cited in the introduction, the station documentation and the yearly reports,
• Focal dephts: A review of earthquake focal depths in Switzerland.
